Chairs
Our chairs are individually hand crafted by John using fallen and standing dead timber. Virtually indestructable and a centerpeice for log homes and art enthusiasts. Art and comfort are combined for a heirloom treasure.
Years of decay and rot are sanded away to expose the wood's inner hard core and beauty. Most chairs are made from osage orange, sometimes called hedge apple. It is extremely dense and hard. When cut, this wood is a golden yellow and ages quickly to a warm chestnut patina.
John only makes a few of these a year due to the perfect pieces he must find.
They are finished with a hand rubbed Danish oil and upholstered in thick New Zealand sheepskin.
